Mario Dimaculangan

Bill Gates organized an enormous session to recruit a new Chairman for Microsoft Europe.

Exactly 5,000 candidates assembled in a large room.
One candidate is MARIO DIMACULANGAN.

Bill Gates: Thank you for coming. Those who do not know JAVA may leave.
2,000 people leave the room.

MARIO says to himself, 'I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I'll give it a try'

Bill Gates: Candidates who never had experience in managing more than 100 people may leave.
2,000 people leave the room.

Mario says to himself ' I never managed anybody but myself, but I have nothing to lose if I stay.
What can happen to me?' So he stays.

Bill Gates: Candidates who do not have management diplomas may leave.
500 people leave the room.

Mario says to himself, 'I left high school at 15 but what have I got to lose?'
So he stays in the room.

Lastly, Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not speak Serbo-Croat to leave.
498 people leave the room.

Mario says to himself, ' I do not speak one word of Serbo-Croat but what do I have to lose?'
So he stays and finds himself with one other candidate.
Everyone else has gone.

Bill Gates joined them and said 'Apparently you are the only two candidates who speak
Serbo-Croat, so I'd now like to hear you have a conversation together in that language.'

Calmly, Mario turns to the other candidate and says `ambot unsay akong isulti nako ani .ron'

The other candidate answers: 'ako pud, pre.'

The truth I never knew

It's been quite awhile since I touched political issues in my blog. About three years had passed, I used to make commentaries in one online newspaper about politics especially in my own country. I just could not help but react about certain issues when I realized that they affected and aggravated the lives of the masses. I used to be a mass defender in secret. But then my boss opted to close the site after couple of years. Feeling tired somehow in dealing with governmental issues, I shifted my writing into the lighter side of life. I was not really very good in my Political Science or History class when I was a student. The subject got me bored. Though there were interesting stories about some of our heroes in the past or of political terms, I still got to yawn with the way my college professor dealt the subject for us to have better understanding about their importance. However, I never thought that when I finished college, the subject would be one my interests. I realized that there is more to the thing of the past that we ought to know and should not forget. Things that may have gone but continue to depict our lives at present.

There is no endpoint to learning. Having said that, reading becomes my very good refuge. I am not a "know-it-all" individual even when I continue to learn and discover things. As a matter of fact, I still get to feel amaze to have known past or present issues even outside my very own country. Just an hour ago, I read this one article online that talks about the truth and facts about holodomor . Now you may ask me what that word is. Well, even to me, it never sounds familiar. I suggest that you read the passage from holodomor-truth.org and learn about the peasants of that time in the past who suffered much due to ineffective economic policy of the Republics of the Soviet Union's Communists government.

When I read the article, I am somehow afraid that it could happen in this present global financial crisis that we're facing. We may not realize that in some part of the world, there are also existing communists government who may likely attempt to neglect the need of the poor and continue with their personal aims and selfish desire. I honestly fear for my own country. I couldn't think for more when I read that site's article but the status of my very own native land. However, I pray that God forbid, that incident will never happen again.

take time to play

"Take time to play, it is the secret of staying young."

In line with our little community's feast of the patron Saint "Our Lady of Lourdes" for the month of February, we held a simple celebration for the kids. Being tasked to organize the said event, I felt accomplished to see the children's smile while performing different parlor games.

They were simply content with the goodies and candies we prepared for them. I guess it's really true that there is nothing more fulfilling than being able to bring joy to little children. If you would look at their happiness, it seems like no problem in this world that's too impossible to deal.

There were actually more games but I wasn't able to capture them all since I wasn't able to have my camera fully charged. sigh!!

I had fun. We all had fun and it feels good to be able laugh and play with them.
“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:1-4)

post- valentine sonnet

I never adhere Shakespeare's old English mainly because i find it too hard to understand. But there are things about him that really taught me the real qualities of a very good writer...

SONNET 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Web hosting for your site

When I started blogging way back in 2005, online journal was not yet this heap. My very good friend introduced it to ease away our boredom from work. She didn't know that I was already addicted to writing then. But all of my musings were just safe secretly written in my journal notebook. I never even thought that I would get to know people and befriend them even when they're millions miles away. Until we learn to exchange our views through our blog sites. Everything seemed to be just working fast forward and I woke up one day already found online blogging a hit. At first I never had a single idea about what the technology of this new generation can bring. My knowledge about computer was so limited. Until my friend told me that she'll make a blog of her own from a cheap web hosting .

Blogging for quite a number of years ,it would be a good idea to own a personalize site. I asked her what a web hosting is and I found out that it is a kind of internet hosting service allowing an individual or any organizations to provide their very own website that is accessible around world wide web. And then I found online a very good
budget web hosting that will help all who wants to make their own website but with limited funds. Aside from that this web hosting site can also provide reseller web hosting allowing the clients to be web hosts themselves. This is a reseller too that may provide identical service to their provider's shared hosting plan while also giving technical support. I have been looking for a reliable web hosting that will guarantee me a very good service provider and lypha.com is my target. You can go and visit their site online for more of your queries.

Shrine Hills reflection

Last month was the feast of Sto. Nino. We went to Shrine Hills as it becomes my parents yearly ritual to go the this place where the image of Sto. Nino can be found. The down pouring of the rain was too heavy that I wasn't able to have my camera on. And so last week, I went back to the place to take a picture of it by myself hoping I could share it in here. Here are the views..i can only hope i got good shots.:)

The image of Sto. Nino in the middle..(the woman in red is i guess a devotee)

the wide open field..

stairway to the Shrine ...

another wide field with trees surrounding the area..

the Saints in black sculptures..
Going to the place will give you a very good reflection you need at times. Time when you want to stay away from the hush and noise around you and you need a place to hear the silence within you along with your faith. Have a great journey to all!take care!

Search and Shop

Can you now imagine just what our present great technology can do? No more sweating around downtown area looking for the best product in town. One easy-to-search online products is here in store for you. Just a click to its store directory and you are already inch away from what you are looking for. A store just perfect for all occasions. Since it's love month and valentine's day is just way around in the coming days, shopwiki.com has got what you actually need. Lately I see some people running here and there because of their jam packed schedule when they no longer have time to go shopping and malling. It's as if business is every tick of the clock's on the go for them. As time is too important, we do not want it get wasted by touring around stores in the city just looking for one or two items for our office' stuff, house stuff or for a special occasion.

I am amazed with what online store can offer to almost all of us around the globe. This one doesn't actually make any less difference with the store we used to shop with. They too can offer discounts making their products more affordable for those who have tight budget. While there are still some who would adhere on the normal shopping way like driving to South to get the products they need, shopwiki.com is of great advantage for all busy people who no longer get enough time to choose for the best product they want in town.

As it makes you more at ease while you just sit in front of your pc monitor, type in the key words, search and click and presto!!you already have the product that you are looking for!Just sitting comfortably without spending much time and effort, I don't think there could be more comfy than the feeling of being just at home while doing the shop and search at shopwiki.com!

Tag-award from the cat

This one reminds me of what some people say as "hitting two birds in one stone". Giving honor to a fellow blogger through the award and getting to know the blogger in depth through a tag. An award and a tag that I just coined to be a "Tag-Award".

Anyway, got this from prinsesamusang . At first I've known musang before as just a mere lover of cats in blogworld since most of her posts then were about her pretty and talented cat. Am not a cat lover to be honest, but because of musang's strong influence, i have learned to find joy with what funny things cats can do. But just when I thought that all her views were just about her cats, later I've seen the more inspiring musang with such wit in her posts. Thanks girl! Am not used to dealing with tags but i'll try give it a shot.

Top ten honest things about me:

1. Am a blogger since 2005 from other successful site i must say ( now still existing though). but due to personal matter, I came to be 'nyl' to try writing without being identified. i realized na mas masarap pala ang feeling nung you just write to inspire people (or not at all ) with what you do without people knowing your real identity.

2. I salivate each time I see green mango (di nman buntis!) weird parang aso!:D
3. I cry over sad movies. (tao lang!0)
4. I am not much into details..mas gusto kong tingnan ang isang bagay in one whole spectrum whether its an issue or an object.
5. I can't dance.
6. I am clumsy...madalas akong mabunggo sa mga door knobs at matapilok sa daan. In other words: no poise!
7. I love music..part of my system.
8. I hate competition. Magpagalingan na lahat ng tao sa mundo, wala akong pakialam..kaya kelan man di ako sisikat at yayaman..hehe!
9. I have not tried riding any carousel or ferris wheel.
10. The farthest place that I've traveled far is only through my imagination(joke lang!)..seriously it's the city of Cebu only.

Now am passing this on to all readers who might have wished to answer the tag. And whether you're just new in blogosphere or not..you still deserve this "honest weblog" award. :)

To do this one here are the mechanics :
“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real.” “Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!”

My naive scent

If there's another thing I find myself funny and even silly, it's the naivety that I seem to have over things that some people labeled to be "branded". To be honest I am not the type of woman who knows so much about beauty products. My being a late bloomer of course is no excuse(haha!). That's a confession. Just that I am confined into what's conventional in my own viewpoint. A Lipstick or lip shiner and some face powder are the only women thing that I am used to wearing when I go out. And about this Talk Perfume thing, I use cologne more often than perfume. Strong scents would at times cause me headache.

Talking about naivety, well, I don't know if that's the right term but there's this funny story about my first time to have tried a quite expensive perfume. That was actually a gift to me from my cousin who just arrived from working abroad. He gave me this big bottle of imported perfume. Well, since I wanted to have it consumed than just preserving it as a collection and so I tried to use it almost every time I was out. But then as minutes would passed by, I wonder why I no longer felt its scent on me. And so what I did was that I kept spraying that perfume on my body until I realized that after a week, the bottle was already half empty. Oh, well, only later then some experts told me that there are expensive perfumes that you won't really smell its scent by yourself but just other people near you can. And I was like "wow!" when I realized how some men that would passed by me, looked at me at times like wanting to devour me. The bad thing is that I had no idea if it's about my perfume that might have caused them headache for its strong scent or something else because they were not talking in the first place! Now I've learned my lesson. I felt so embarrassed over that fact. Whew, my naive!:O

Promises are not meant to be broken

I was surprised to hear Arnel Pineda's story when once in his life he was indulged into prohibited drugs. He bravely confessed that it almost ruined not only his life but also his family. His wife already thought of leaving him then. But God never comes late to all who seek for conversion. While there is more to life and while drug treatment is never impossible, Arnel's life shifted into a one big package full of wonderful hopes and promises.

Now, looking at how Arnel Pineda has gone far, already a successful singer of his time. I always believe that while there is life, there is also hope. If you know someone who is into the same situation, it is never too late to help them and be inspired like Arnel. Do visit too treatmentdrug.org as they will help you and promise to build your dreams again because for them promises are not meant to be broken.
